Its name recalls one of the most recognisable and symbolic plants of the woodland. Evergreen and resistant to cold, holly was traditionally considered a symbol of protection, strength and prosperity. Its glossy leaves and decorative red berries bring a striking contrast to the landscape, retaining their colour even during the coldest months.
